May 15, 2000EXPERIENCE GOD!

Pablo Casals said, “In music, in the sea, in a flower, in a leaf, in an act of kindness... I see what people call God in all these things.” How many of us can say we experience God in all things?
My mind recalls times I have experienced
God in what I have read, natures beauty and in people. The experience
is difficult to describe, but I know I am full, my heart has expanded and
there is a love that is indescribable. One of the first times I remember
experiencing it, I was a child playing outside and something happened within
me and I knew God was there. It was a beautiful, warm spring day and I
was in nature, amongst the trees and taking in the
sky when I noticed the top of a
very special tree that seemed to call to me and my eyes fell on its leaves,
then its branches, the formation and I remember thinking of it roots and
feeling very connected to it and as I continued to focus on the tree, giving
more attention to the details of it, my body started to feel a powerful
love, great appreciation, fullness and the effect was, to me, pure
love. Words cannot describe the feeling in that moment, but I knew I felt
God and I had become one with the tree. From that moment on, I knew I could
experience God in nature and it
became a very special place to me.
Sometimes when I read, I know the person who wrote it was writing from their heart and soul and experiencing God and I am touched. My mind brings in memories of my children and when I felt that overwhelming love as I looked at them and again, I saw God in their eyes.
Make this a day to find God in the sunrise, in a flower, in a child’s eyes, in the movement of the wind, through an act of kindness and more. Allow your heart, mind and soul to touch upon beauty and experience God and Just Be!
INCREASE MY LIGHT?

By Shelia ShumateDo you want to help others but you’re not sure what is the best way? Ask yourself, “Would others benefit if I were to increase my light from within and radiate?” Is there someone in confusion and you want to help them have clarity? What would increasing your light do for them? Is there someone who is having health problems and you want to assist but you’re unsure what to say or do? Each of us can take time to assist, if we choose. But how?
How can you assist another? One way to help is through positive thoughts. If we buy into their negativity, everyone is weakened. Instead, think of them in the highest possible way, using visualization. Visualize them doing what they love to do, playing golf, running or hiking and being healthy. Visualize them creating wealth and success for themselves. By doing visualization for them, you have helped them. When people get together and pray for one another, the person prayed for feels better, receives insights or other results. Those thoughts and prayers are heard. You have assisted them by raising their vibration. The same is true by visualizing them healthy, wealthy and wise.
We can increase our light through our loving and uplifting thoughts, words of encouragement, integral actions and through visualizing others at their best. No matter what a person is going through, we can serve them by not buying into their negativity. Send positive thoughts! That will help them more than feeling sorry for them. Send thoughts of love, healing, light, beauty, joy and wealth. Make this a day of increasing your light and Just Being!
